Jan 13 - Melbourne

Chill day today. Didn't do much except to bring in our laundry from last night. Stayed at the casino hotel in the city for the night so we can "shorten" our drive the next day.

Jan 14 - Melbourne / Adelaide

After a good brekkie (as the locals call breakfast), we're off on our hoopty trip to Adelaide. First stop was at The Grampians. Did a short hike to see "The Balcony". Along the way, we saw lots of cairns (no, not the city but a stack of rocks).
Where's waldo?
Had an "emergency" along the way
So did ah yee!
Ah yee and her contribution to the cairns forest
Me too
Behold: The balcony
I have to say that hoopty trips in Australia are quite boring. I mean the drive is really boring. There's nothing to see except empty lands and a ton of "threatening" road signs telling you that you should stop if you're fatigued. Speed limit is 100 km/h but then suddenly you'd have to stomp on your breaks and drop your speed to like 30 km/h for what appears to be NO RHYME OR REASON. Whiskey Tango Foxtrot!!!

Drove from The Grampians straight to our motel in Adelaide. Ah yee wanted mussels for dinner so the front desk guy recommended a belgian bar for us to go to. Turns out the place was near/at Rundle St which is where Rachel recommended us to go check out. Food was great. Drinks were awesome. After being satisfactorily fed, we strolled around to check out the place. There were quite a few dessert places and I could not resist getting a piece of chocolate cake to eat back at the motel. :)

Belgian food - mussels, frites and beer!!!

Day 9: Adelaide
