Taipei / Hong Kong 1 - 6 Jan 2012

We stayed at the W Hotel at Taipei where we saw this in the toilet next to the one of those fancy, multi-function commodes.
Jiu jai gou. If I remember correctly, they used mine ore here. The run-offs is what causes the yellowish colour in the waters.
Taipei 101 from ground floor.

Dropped into Macau for a day. Visited the "burnt cathedral" (burnt not just once). This is pretty much what's left of the cathedral.
View of the airport from the cable car ride.
Big buddha statue on Lantau island

This is actually from another trip but we were there too for dinner. This is how the fishermen sells their wares. They grab what you want from the boat, put it in bags and someone at the top of the "pier" will haul it up. Fresh seafood!!!
Dim sum restaurant in Mongkok which sells fantastic char siew pau. The wait is quite long even for takeout. If you want to dine in, well, read the rules first.
